Your child’s keyperson is:
The keyperson is responsible for keeping records on your child’s progress. If you have any concerns or queries please speak to your child’s keyperson.
1st visit- parent/carer stay for 45 mins-1 hr with child.
2nd visit- parent/carer stay for 30 mins with child and then leave child for 15 mins on their own.
3rd visit- parent/carer stay for 15 mins with child and then leave child for 30-45 mins on their own
4th visit- parent/carer to leave their child for 1 hour on their own
These are guidelines and visits will be adjusted depending on the age of the child and if they have been left before.
The Early Years Foundation Stage
We meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and support children’s learning and development and their welfare. Each child is observed and assessed through planned activities covering 3 prime areas and 4 specific areas of development.
The Prime areas are-
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Physical Development
- Communication and Language
The Specific areas are-
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
Each day in the morning at 9.30am the children have a drink a piece of fruit or a biscuit.
Lunch is served at 11.30am, which is a hot dinner and afters.
Teatime is at 3pm, which is a selection of sandwiches, salad and fruit.
Your child will take part in activities that are on the curriculum plan displayed in each classroom. You will receive a report of this at the end of the day.
Children have access to the garden each day where we follow planned activities and free play.
Things you will need when starting your class
- Photo of your child
- Family photo
- P.E. kit – navy shorts, plimsolls and white t-shirt in a named pe bag.
- Wellington boots named
- Spare clothes or nappies and wipes
